Silent Auction Items  Preview

We invite you to preview now the very exciting Silent Auction items that will be featured at Crowning Glory, the Beaufort History Museum Tea fundraiser, on Wednesday, May 10.   Please take this exclusive opportunity to look over the attractive selection and assure that you will not miss out, and that you will be able to buy your favorite item as you support the projects of the Museum.

You will then confirm that you wish to reserve the item of your choice.  You will secure your choice by supplying your credit card information but you will not actually be paying at that point.  This is simply to reserve your item. Then you will pay for and pick up your item at the Tea.

  • Payment for all items must be made in full at the time of purchase.
  • Cash, checks or credit cards will be accepted.
  • A table will be set up at the Tea for payment immediately following the event.  (All auction items must be claimed at this time.)
  • Please make checks payable to Beaufort History Museum.
  • All sales are final.

#103: ‘HATPHABET’ - One of a Kind Collectable Miniature Alphabet Book Using Men’s Hats Motif

By noted South Carolina author Frank J. Anderson, and produced at his Spartanburg based Kitemaug Press, 1998,  numbered and signed.

Miniature 2” X 2” book takes advantage of the 8 1/2" x 11" standard paper size. The entire hand process of the 40-copy edition, from prototype to completion, took over a month.  The Hatphabet may be "read" page-by-page, or it may be stretched out to its full 6'-4" length for display.
